Campus Posting

All student organizations are responsible for producing their own promotional materials. Please make sure that your flyers contain all necessary information, including:

Who, where, when, what time, cost and contact information.

Also keep in mind:

Student organizations may post items on bulletin boards designated for general posting. No flyers may be posted on walls, glass, doors, etc.

Be sure to remove your flyers after your event to make room for other postings.

The following guidelines apply to all student organizations:

Decorations:

  • Decorations must be fireproof and shall be erected and taken down in a manner not destructive to College property.
  • The use of candles, heating devices or flammable materials is prohibited in all College facilities unless approved by Central Scheduling (231) 995-1113.
  • Decorations must not obstruct: exit-ways, doors, windows or corridors.
  • Ceilings shall be free of all decorations and displays.
  • Approved materials to hang decorations: blue painter’s tape, poster putty, masking tape.
  • Electrical lights or other electrically operated devices shall be Underwriter Laboratories-listed or Factory Mutual-approved and shall be checked for defects prior to use.
  • When electric lights or other electrically operated devices are used, they shall be lighted only when under supervision of a responsible person.
  • All decorations must be removed from College facilities at the close of the activity unless arrangements have been made with Central Scheduling.

Signage:

  • Signage shall be erected and taken down in a manner not destructive to College property.
  • Location of all signage must be approved by Central Scheduling.
  • Signage must not obstruct: exit-ways, doors, windows or corridors.
  • Ceilings shall be free of all displays and signage.
  • Building exteriors shall be free of all displays or signage.
  • Approved materials to hang signs: blue painter’s tape, poster putty, masking tape.
  • Roadway signage must not obstruct traffic visibility, roadway entrance, exits, 17勛圖 directional or safety signage (stop, yield, or speed signs). Staked signs must be 2 feet back from curb and no more than 1 foot deep.
  • Signs shall not exceed 18” by 24” unless approved by Central Scheduling.
  • All decorations must be removed from College facilities at the close of the activity unless arrangements have been made with Central Scheduling.
