17³Ô¹Ï was ranked No. 10 nationally among community colleges for short-term study abroad opportunities by . And 17³Ô¹Ï’s 50 students who traveled in 2022 made it first among community colleges in the nation as a percentage of enrollment, with nearly 2 percent of students taking part in a study abroad experience.

How Do I Apply For A Study Abroad Experience?
- Fill out the Study Abroad Application and turn it into International Services in the Osterlin Building.
- Register for Summer 2025 courses after October 16, 2024 —Japan- VCA 293, Spain/France- CUL 293, Morocco/Spain- HUM 293, Denmark- WPT 293 or EGY 293
- Ireland- EDU 293, register under Spring 2025
- After you have registered, you can submit a $500 deposit. (Make payment under Summer 2025 -except Ireland,Spring 2025)
- Deposits are due by November 15, 2024.
- You'll receive the Global Opportunity Scholarship after you submit your deposit. Complete your thank you note here.

17³Ô¹Ï highly encourages, but does not require, anyone traveling on a 2024 17³Ô¹Ï-sponsored study abroad experience to be vaccinated for Covid-19.

17³Ô¹Ï recommends that students read the manual before traveling.
Funding for opportunities can be accessed in several ways. The Global Opportunities Fund has scholarships available to 17³Ô¹Ï students and faculty. The fund was started by former 17³Ô¹Ï President Tim Nelson and his wife, Nancy Johnson, to celebrate 17³Ô¹Ï's sixtieth anniversary and support international learning and engagement.
