When applicants apply for admission, their demographic data and prior college experience is reviewed and one of the following Student Types is assigned to the applicant's record. The Digital Dashboard displays information broken down by this Student Type on the Applicant Demographics and the Student Demographics page.

| 2 | New Transfer | Applicant attended other
college(s), but not 17吃瓜. Note: If the applicant attended 17吃瓜 as a dual enrolled high school student, then attended another college, and then transferred to 17吃瓜, he/she is given a Student Type of 鈥淣ew Transfer鈥�, not 鈥淔ormer Dual Enroll鈥� |
| 3 | Returning Transfer | Applicant attended 17吃瓜 as an academic college student, then transferred to another college, then came back to 17吃瓜. |
| 4 | Re-Admit | Applicant was admitted to 17吃瓜 previously and attended 17吃瓜, did not attend any other college since he/she was admitted, and is applying again. |
| 5 | High School Dual Enrolled | Applicant is a high school student who is taking class(es) here. |
| 6 | Guest | Applicant is attending another college and is just taking class(es) here, but is not planning to transfer here |
| 7 | International | No longer used. Residency is used to distinguish international students. Using Student Type resulted in a duplication of Residency data. It also caused us to lose the ability to identify first-time international students, which is required for government reporting. Note: Tuition Rate is used for determining the rate a student will pay. |
| 9 | Co-Enrolled | Student who is taking a class at TBA (such as child development), that is eligible for TBA credit and 17吃瓜 credit. The student pays 17吃瓜 a fee and the class shows up on a Life Long Learning transcript. |
| C | Continuing Student | This type is not assigned to admission applicants unless it is a current 17吃瓜 student who is applying for a restricted program, such as Nursing. This Student Type is normally assigned after a student completes one academic semester. A program is run as part of the grading process. If the student has one of the new academic or transfer Student Types (0, 1, 2, 3, or 4) for the semester, the process creates a new Student record for the student for the next semester with a Student Type of C, for Continuing. |
| D | Direct Credit | High school student enrolled in 17吃瓜 course(s) offered at the high school, to students of that high school only. |
| E | Early College | High school students enrolled in the Early College program, which allows students to earn a high school diploma and an associate's degree or up to 60 transferrable college credits, at the same time. Students generally attend for 5 years. |
| H | Continuing HS Dual Enrolled | Applicant attended 17吃瓜 previously as a High School Dual Enrolled, is still in high school, and is returning to 17吃瓜 has a high school dual enrolled student, continuing. This is a new Student Type, as of Fall 2017. |
| S | Special Enroll (CTC) | Career Tech Center student taking class(es) at 17吃瓜. |
| V | Virtual Student | A virtual student, admitted to take 17吃瓜 class(es) online. |
Once a student completes his or her first semester and grades are posted, a program is run to update the following Student Types to Continuing for the next semester:
0 - Former High School Enrolled
1 - New, Never Attended
2 - New Transfer
3 - Returning Transfer
4 - Re-Admit
